Holly’s Caregiving Journey

Having embarked on her caregiving journey over a decade ago, her path was initially carved out of necessity when her husband fell ill in 2008. For fourteen years, she dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to those in need, drawing strength from her own experiences and challenges.

Reflecting on her journey, Holly recounted, “I started caregiving because my husband became ill in 2008. I’ve been doing it for a long time.” However, life took unexpected turns, and after her husband’s passing in 2015, Holly took a break from caregiving to explore other avenues, briefly venturing into the retail sector. Yet, the calling of caregiving remained ingrained within her, leading her back to an independent caregiving role and eventually to Family Resource Home Care.
Transition to Client Care Supervisor
Her tenure at Family Resource Home Care commenced six months ago, initially as a caregiver. Quickly establishing herself as a reliable and empathetic member of the team, Holly’s dedication did not go unnoticed. Within a short span, she earned promotions to Lead and then to CCS—a progression emblematic of her exceptional skills and commitment.
When asked about her motivation to transition into the CCS role, Holly expressed her eagerness to delve deeper into the intricacies of client care. “I saw how it all worked from start to finish and wanted to learn more,” she shared. “I felt excited to be able to make sure that the caregivers are successful and set up.”
