Client Testimonials

I wish to express my confidence in Destiny to be my caregiver. I am lucky to have been assigned, Destiny. Her care, prior training with persons on the Autism Spectrum before joining your company is fantastic. She and I work very well together. Destiny is always on time. She assists me with house cleaning, cooking, getting me to appointments, personal care, dressing (if needed), support with mobility issues, etc. Destiny is professional, yet she is also kind and empathetic. She listens and does not play emotional head games or sound like she is repeating or reading from a script. Destiny treats me with genuine respect and dignity. I am grateful to have Destiny apart of my care team. My quality of life has improved. Destiny is a gem and I highly reccomend her.

Just wanted to tell you Angela how much I appreciate you answering all my questions today, it really helped me go in the right direction and to also thank my dad’s caregiver Griselda. She is so punctual, sweet, professional, has great common sense, and makes my dad’s day run smooth. We went to his Dr’s appointment, and she had my dad all ready and organized. When we got to the appointment, my dad introduced Griselda as his ‘Friend.'”

I wanted to take the time and say thank you to the team that has been taking care of my mom. Over the time I’ve gotten to speak with the management team and learned how much they care about clients and their families. It shines through with how well she has been taken care of lately by Rochelle. Mom praises her so much to me. Rochelle keeps things calm and afloat. I’m all the way down in San Jose and having Rochelle taking great care of mom keeps me at peace. They have a great time talking with each other. Mom has felt alone and having someone who can do the job and show immense care and watch over her seriously means so much to me.”

I went out for a quick visit with the clients this morning and I wanted to share that they had all good things to say about Family Resource Home Care, from their first contact to their in-home care services/caregiver. I did let them know that I chose the best, but provided all the compliments there after. Both caregivers are appreciated. The client reported improvement to his mental health since his caregiver started with him. I wanted to share that with you and your team get the praise deserved to remind you all that what you are doing matters!”

“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care provided by your caregiver to complete the client’s private-duty healthcare team. Their dedication and professionalism have significantly impacted the client’s day-to-day life. Their attention to detail, empathy, and commitment to their work has not gone unnoticed. They care for the client’s with grace and compassion and provide invaluable reassurance to the clients. The trust I have in them and both of you as supervisors allows me to breathe easier, knowing that the client is receiving the highest standard of care possible. Their filling in these last three weeks at the last minute has been wonderful. We deeply appreciate their contributions and look forward to continuing to work with you to ensure the best possible care for the client. With heartfelt thanks, Happy Guardian.”

Other agencies just hire anyone who wants a job and they don’t communicate as well. I can tell that Family Resource is not just doing this for the money. They are one of the very best agencies we’ve ever dealt with. We are very impressed; they are proficient and professional, have excellent communication, and they provide substitutes when a caregiver can’t make it. The way they operate is the best that I have seen. The impact is huge. They have a lot of excellent caregivers and if there are any situations they respond quickly and appreciate our feedback. They also try to correct the issue right away. They’re available 12 hours a day so it’s a big deal to us and it does affect my wife’s daily experience. Most of them do a great job, everyone has different skills and attributes and they vary greatly. Even the ones who aren’t experienced are very willing to learn and they are compassionate. The communication has been excellent and they’re very quick to call us back if we call them. They are very professional people. They’re very receptive to the feedback we provide them about caregivers.”

Our family has been using Family Resource Home Care for over a year now to assist in the care of our mother. We have been fortunate to have the same outstanding caregiver, Kenna, in Walla Walla for that entire time period. Kenna has shown exemplary service. She takes amazing care of Mom all the while encouraging Mom’s independence. She fits right in with the family and helps Mom in so many ways. I love how they have become friends and are able to interact with each other with humor and caring. Mom loves Kenna! Kenna does a great job keeping Mom mentally stimulated with games, puzzles, conversation, and other activities. She takes Mom on fun outings to a museum, shopping, to paint ceramics, to walk in the park, out for lunch, out for coffee, and to holiday bazaars. Mom loves it all! After completing her Physical Therapy for balance and strength, Kenna has continued to be very faithful in helping Mom to maintain her exercise program. She makes it fun for Mom by adding music to exercise. This has helped Mom to maintain and even gain strength that is so important in keeping her safe and mobile. She no longer needs to rely on her walker to get around in the house! With our mother’s dementia, she needs prompts and help with a number of things. Kenna is always helpful and patient to help Mom maintain her independence as much as possible. We are so very thankful for Kenna and all she does for Mom. Her professionalism and caring demeanor mean the world to us. We could not ask for a better fit for Mom!

“I received my caregiver yesterday for the first time and I couldn’t be happier. She is the sweetest thing that I’ve met in a long time. I just want to say how happy I am and so thankful that you sent her because she’s gonna change my life. I just truly know it. And if all of your employees are like this, I’m sure that there are a lot of people in this apartment complex who would love your services because they’ve been having problems with that with their caregivers. And I don’t. I just, I’m so excited today. I just wanted to tell you, she is just perfect, wonderful person and thank you so much for getting us together. Bless you.”

“When service is exceptional, it warrants praise. You have a very special person on your staff — Judy, the primary caregiver in charge of caring for my mother-in-law who passed away in May. My mother-in-law had been discharged from the hospital — her prognosis only days to weeks to live. Her family was whirling as this shocking news propelled her into hospice care. Judy came to us in the final two weeks of my mother-in-law’s life. She was a godsend, keeping family afloat in a sea of sadness. Her professionalism, experience, and gentle manner, along with her commitment to make my mother-in-law’s final days the best possible — with both dignity and comfort — made her a true blessing. Judy had taken many people through the transition, starting with her own father, and found her callings to be ‘late stage dementia and end of life.’ Judy took charge of what needed to be done, be it administering medications, providing the recommend food and drink, giving regular bed baths — even massages! In no time, she had the house whipped into shape and spic and span. She took pride in saying that no patient would ‘fall on her watch.’ She went above and beyond to not only ten to my mother-in-law’s needs and wants, but to do it in a gentle and light-hearted manner that took account my mother-in-law’s fiercely independent personality. Judy’s work ethic is exceptional. She kept a daily journal, including any changes in my mother-in-law’s condition; what she ate; level and timing of meds. She worked in tandem with hospice team of doctors, nurses, and social workers, always calling if there were any questions or concerns, then recording their recommendations. With Judy it was actually like having a 24/7 hospice nurse. She is a CNA as well as ‘nurse delegate’ so could give medications as needed for pain, nausea, anxiety. She walked the fine line of giving just enough and not too much, as she knew how important is was for my mother-in-law to have family come and visit every day and be able to not only participate in the visit but do so in comfort. She always made sure my mother-in-law was ready for her visitors. Yet, she respected privacy and took a background role when they arrived. Judy’s presence was a stabilizing, calming, grounding force for a grieving family. She was our guiding light. Having been through end of life transitions multiple times, she knew exactly what to do, what signs to look for. As the days slipped by and death drew near, Judy softly told us what to expect and that peace and comfort were of the utmost importance. She reassured family about the necessity of increased medications at the end for a peaceful passing. It takes a special person to guide and counsel a family through losing a loved one, to ease their fears and anxiety. Judy was the angel who came into our lives just when we needed on most. May she be there for many families to come.”

“I don’t know how to put this strongly enough into words, how important Heidi has become in my mom’s life. My mom will call us in the early morning, confused and anxious, asking when Heidi will be coming. She doesn’t always remember Heidi’s name but she always remembers that she is a friend and has made such a difference in my Mom’s life. Our family could not be happier and we want your company to know this.”

“My dad was in his final days of life, and my brother and I were so frazzled and stressed about that we finally had to call for help. We wish that we had done it sooner. Thanks to the caregivers at Family Resource, we finally got to relax and just spend time with dad. We had the caregivers come in 24/7. The people knew what they were doing, and we especially liked the daytime person, Sam, who treated dad like a member of his own family. Thank you Family Resource (and thank you Sam) for taking care of my family.”

“As a former client of Family Resource, I would most certainly recommend them as a source of assistance with the daily requirements of recuperation at home. The assistants they provide are not only qualified and well-suited to, but pleasant and solicitous of, the client’s needs. I feel that my recuperation was well-attended to and, perhaps accelerated, by the concern of Family Resource Home Care.”

“We are very thankful for the competent and loving care that all the caregivers have given our Mom. Cascade has been very understanding in being flexible to arrange caregivers that blend well with both of our parents, who are 93, so that the best care can be given. As a health care professional myself, I highly recommend this agency for in-home care for your family members.”

– Client, 2016

“Our family has had Family Resources caregivers for 6 to 7 years now, and this company and its caregivers have been absolute lifesavers. We began by introducing caregivers to my Mom, who had dementia. The respite care allowed Dad a break and I think, saved his life. Two months after Mom died, Dad fell, and required 24/7 care. The caregivers all were focused on Dad’s welfare. Because of them, he was able to go back to part-time caregiving. Recently, Dad fell and broke his hip and has been back to 24/7 care again. This sounds like a calm, orderly set of events. In each case, I was looking for help in distress, and I was experiencing moments of silent panic, knowing I was not a qualified caregiver. The staff — have been phenomenal. I called up, sometimes with very little notice, and I had a schedule within a day. These folks really mobilized! They keep me up to date, they let me know if there is a concern, and they listen to my concerns and we work on a solution together. If I could give Family Resources Home Care 10 stars, I would!”

“Hope you are having a great weekend. I cannot thank your agency enough. It is no lie when I tell my clients who are struggling with caregivers and agencies that yours will not disappoint. I just spoke with two clients, and they are so happy with the caregivers you  sent. They both struggled getting good caregivers that fit their needs and your agency took care of both of them on the first try. I cannot thank you enough for the work your staff and you have put into getting good caregivers. Please continue doing what you are doing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
