While she enjoyed interacting with people, she eventually felt called to do work that had a deeper impact. “I was in marketing for 16 years,” Priscilla explains. “Then in 2023 I decided to challenge myself and go into healthcare.” She began her transition by working in an Adult Family Home, earning her HCA and CNA credentials while gaining hands-on experience caring for seniors. Over six months, she built strong connections with residents and learned the daily realities of caregiving. Becoming a Lead Caregiver
After gaining valuable experience in an Adult Family Home, Priscilla joined Family Resource Home Care as a Lead Caregiver at the Puyallup Branch. Her leadership skills from her previous career began to emerge naturally, making her a strong resource for both the field team and the branch office. She worked as a Lead Caregiver for about eight months, from April through December, and was just beginning to feel settled into the position when an unexpected opportunity appeared.
