Celebrating Our 6th Annual Month of Gratitude 2025
At Family Resource Home Care, June is more than just the beginning of summer—it marks our cherished tradition: the 6th annual Month of Gratitude 2025. This month-long celebration is our way of acknowledging the heart, effort, and resilience of our teams across Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado. It’s a time for reflection, connection, and meaningful expression, and each year, we come together in a big way to honor the spirit of appreciation that underpins everything we do.
Why We Celebrate a Month of Gratitude
Gratitude isn’t just a seasonal buzzword for us—it’s a core value that drives how we support our clients, care for one another, and show up for our communities. By dedicating an entire month to this powerful practice, we create space to pause, reflect, and intentionally recognize the goodness around us.
We do it every year because it works. It lifts spirits, strengthens bonds, and creates lasting habits of thankfulness. It also gives us the opportunity to shine a light on the incredible people who make our work meaningful—from caregivers and office staff to clients and families. The Month of Gratitude 2025 is our time to say, “We see you. We appreciate you. And we’re better because of you.”
The Weekly Challenges: A Journey Through the States of Gratitude
This year’s theme takes us on a journey through the States of Gratitude—a tribute to the literal states we serve and the figurative states of heart and mind that gratitude inspires. Each week in June focuses on one of our four service states, connecting local spirit with personal growth.
1. Rooted in Gratitude for Idaho
Idaho, the Gem State, reminds us that strong roots lead to flourishing lives. This week, we honor what grounds us—whether it’s family, values, health, or home.

-
Plant something as a symbolic act of thanks
-
Make a “roots” collage

Send a thank-you to a “root person” in your life
2. Evergreen Gratitude for Washington
The Evergreen State teaches us the power of consistency. Gratitude should be a year-round practice, not just a fair-weather friend.
Challenge Activities:
-
Daily reflections on challenges and support
-
Perform random acts of gratitude
-
Buddy up for daily thankfulness check-ins

Take gratitude walks in nature
3. Trailblazing Gratitude for Oregon
Inspired by Oregon’s pioneering spirit, this week is all about embracing change and expressing thanks for the courage it takes to grow.

Start a courage jar to track brave moments
4. The Summit of Gratitude for Colorado
Colorado’s majestic peaks symbolize reflection and resilience. We end the month with a celebration of how far we’ve come.

Ending on a High Note: Spirit Week
During the final week of the Month of Gratitude 2025, we kick things up a notch with Spirit Dress-Up Week! It’s a fun, lighthearted way to wrap up the month by sharing joy and bringing even more color to our gratitude celebration. From themed outfits to teamwide laughter, spirit week reminds us that gratitude can be playful too.
