It was a typical day at Affinity, one of Walla Walla’s local independent living communities, when Justin King, a dedicated caregiver from our Walla Walla branch, wrapped up his visit with a client. As he was preparing to leave, something caught his attention—a desperate call for help coming from the laundry area. Without hesitation, Justin sprang into action.
A Familiar Client in Crisis
When Justin reached the laundry room, he found one of our clients—someone he had previously supported—lying on the floor. The client had fallen while doing laundry and had been calling out for help for several minutes with no response. Lifesaver Justin didn’t hesitate. He immediately alerted the front desk and asked them to call 911. Then, true to the compassionate nature he brings to every shift, he stayed by the client’s side, offering reassurance and care until emergency services arrived.
