Her journey began in 2013 when her father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Balancing her role as a sales and marketing representative with the demanding task of caring for her father proved challenging. “It became impossible to manage both effectively,” Jennifer recalls, reflecting on the difficulty of maintaining her career while providing care.
As her father’s needs grew, Jennifer sought a more flexible career that would allow her to dedicate the necessary time and energy to his care. Her decision to transition into caregiving was not just a career shift, but a response to her own needs and experiences. “I had been a caregiver for ten years with Companion Care Inc. (now Family Resource Home Care), and I had a profound understanding of both sides of the equation—being a client and a caregiver,” she explains. Jennifer touched on her own health journey relying on caregivers while she experienced two rounds of cancer diagnoses.
After Jennifer cared for a terminally ill client, she started to experience burnout and wanted a change. Rainbow, the Branch Manager, suggested Jennifer apply for the Client Care Supervisor position at the Woodinville Branch. This recommendation marked a turning point in her career, allowing her to view the caregiving business from a new perspective. “It’s eye-opening to see the business in a new light,” Jennifer says. Her unique background as a caregiver enhances her ability to advocate effectively for both clients and caregivers, balancing the demands of running a business with the compassionate care she deeply values.

In her role as Client Care Supervisor, Jennifer draws on her extensive caregiving background to provide invaluable support and guidance. We’ll assist with the rest of the training.” For families and clients, she emphasizes the importance of maintaining an open mind and giving the process a fair chance. “Just give it a try for a few weeks,” she suggests.
