Good Times - Making Every Moment Count.
Geraniums bloom on Dorothy Patton’s back deck in the summer, framing her Lake Washington view. She can’t tend them as well as she once loved to do, since her stroke and the onset of Parkinson’s Disease, but she still enjoys watching the sailboats bob on the water.
Dorothy’s caregiver, Stephanie, keeps the flowers watered and beautiful for her. Stephanie also takes care of the rest of the house, cooks, and helps Dorothy with her exercises. “Stephanie gets me up and going,” Dorothy says. “I can’t garden, I can’t do my needlepoint, I can’t play the piano anymore, but Stephanie laughs at everything I say and is always there when I need her. We have a good time together.”
