my story

“The two main caregivers became like a part of our family. Their kindness and concern made dealing with my father’s failing health a bit easier. Thank you for providing a very important service for families in need of quality care.”

About Our Caregivers

Exceptional Care from Exceptional Caregivers

At Family Resource Home Care, the foundation of caregiving is a trusted relationship with the person you allow into your home.

The commitment, support, and respect our company gives to our caregivers, including industry-leading pay and benefits, creates a loyal, dedicated, and responsive staff. We are proud of our low staff turnover ― many of our caregivers have been with us for 8, 9, even 10 years. You will find them exceptionally reliable and dependable.

We choose caregivers for their experience, skills, commitment, and kindness. We will make every effort to match client needs and personality with the right caregiver.

Please be assured that your caregiver:

  • Will arrive on time, complete their assigned tasks, and treat your family member with courtesy and respect
  • Has a dress code and a code of conduct which they are required to follow
  • Receives ongoing supervision, training, and support
  • Has passed a spoken and written English language fluency test

If your assigned caregiver cannot fill a shift, we will send a substitute.

Recruitment and Background Checks

Washington State law requires that anyone hired by an in-home services agency undergo a criminal background check by the Washington State Patrol.

Family Resource Home Care goes above and beyond this basic requirement to assure you that your caregiver is honest and reliable. Here’s what we do:

1. Washington State Patrol criminal background check
2. Washington State Adult Protective Services registry check
3. Check of criminal records in every county and state an applicant is known to have lived in
4. National criminal records check
5. Social Security number verification (to ensure identity of applicant)
6. Employment verification and reference checks
7. Verify legal authorization to work in the United States
8. Professional certification check
9. Driving record check and proof of automobile insurance confirmed

In addition, all our caregivers are bonded and insured.

If you want to set up a free in-home consultation or just want to talk about your family’s situation, simply call one of our Client Care Supervisors or Contact Family Resource Home Care – we’re here to listen.
