What I do.
My role at Family Resource Home Care is to make sure the right caregiver is assigned to each client. I’m also here to answer questions or simply to provide a comforting person to talk to and help with problems. I love when it all comes together!
Why home care
When a friend asked me to join their team at another home care company, I was lucky to have two wonderful mentors who really taught me what it takes to care for another human being. I then went on to manage a concierge team at a wonderful retirement community. I then became the Director of Services for a new home care agency before joining Family Resource Home Care. Being a part of such a remarkable team brings rewards on many levels. The caring starts with the first call of the day and what is so amazing is that the same caring is at the same level for the last call of the day!
The name “Family Resource” really represents us well – a family all working together to make other people's lives better.
My favorite client story
What I love most is when our family members feel we keep their loved ones safe. One client’s daughter called and told me that her dad had been very depressed since he had lost his wife. He felt life was over. Our caregiver went in and brought order and routine back into his life and the daughter said there was once again a twinkle in his eye. You can’t get better than that.
