What I do.
My roll at FRHC is to provide excellent care to my
clients and their families, support to my caregivers and co-workers and
always do my very best to provide “care with kindness.”
It’s a big responsibility being the Tacoma Branch Manager. I have
very high standards and have fabulous, skilled, compassionate, warm and
caring caregivers who have helped our Family Resource Home Care clients
tremendously.
A favorite client story
I was sitting in the living room
of one of my dear clients.
We are helping this client with light housekeeping, meal prep and
planning and I had reviewed all the things our caregiver could do for
this client, regarding help with personal care, this sweet lady who has
MS and had raised 6 children, looked up at me and said “could the
caregiver help me shampoo my hair, with my MS that is a difficult task
for me. But I wouldn’t want
the caregiver to get wet.”
This simple request from this lady, was so amazing to me.
She so wanted to be independent and not “put out” our caregiver.
It makes me happy to know that our caregivers can provide very
simple tasks for our clients and it makes a big difference in our
client’s everyday lives.
This client has bonded so well with their caregiver and are so
appreciative of the help she has provided them and look forward to each
of her scheduled visits.
